My school is located in the Spanish Harlem section of Manhattan. None of my children possess a library card and do not have books at home that are at their level. The only time most of my students are exposed to rich literature that is at their reading level is in school. This year I am teaching in a CTT classroom where half of the class is classified special ed and half is general ed. The students coming in are far below grade level and I don't have the materials or books to support their learning. Please help us become lifelong readers!
