These materials will create a warm inviting space with natural tones to bring a modified Montessori environment to a public classroom. The vessels to hold the materials already present in the classroom will create a uniformity that will bring a calming consistent environment. The moveable alphabets are the most versatile and necessary in our classroom where children can practice their letters and sounds, their name, or even create stories. The tubes are always incredibly versatile as well and can be used across subjects such as wild animal units in science, beginning sounds in literacy, sorting units, and so much more! Paint is something we consistently run out of in the classroom as we also use it across subjects along with having an easel in the classroom with monthly rotating paintings to mimic from Kandinsky to Van Gogh, so having a large supply of primary colors to be able to mix would be very helpful.
