My students range from the highly gifted to those who have just arrived in the country and need specialized language support. The demographics of our school also extend from upper middle class families to students who live with extended family and need financial support. What they all have in common is the need to have success in the classroom every day in order to see their potential. Middle schoolers are at a critical point in their education - where they determine how important school is and will be to their future. Our school seeks to find connections with our students both in and out of the classroom to build relationships, mentor struggling students, and extend learning beyond a textbook. Next year, the school will be piloting 1:1 technology for all of our students to bridge the learning gap and further prepare our students for the digital future.
