This will be my 19th year of teaching in Yonkers Public Schools. It has been quite a world wind of experiences, challenges, and successes! I went into this profession with very high ideals, wanting to be the best teacher I could, and a belief that I could make a difference. In many ways, I've done just that. The last 14 years I've spent in the same school. Our school traditionally has a very needy high population of low income, emotionally challenged students, with 90% of students receiving free lunch. We have been in danger of receivership due to low test scores and this is our final year to show improvement or the school will be taken over by the state. Our staff is very hard working and dedicated as am I. We are ready to do all we can to keep our school from receivership and boost our student's learning.

About my class
