My classroom services 27 wonderful students with specialized learning needs - and that number is growing all the time. From processing disorders to Autism, kindergarten to third grade, my students' needs are incredibly diverse. We work almost entirely in small groups to make progress on our goals in mathematics and language arts. Despite their disabilities, my students come to my class every day excited, motivated, and ready to learn. Even though there are a lot of challenges and struggles involved in our day-to-day learning, my students are always willing to try. They surprise me and inspire me on a daily basis, and I want to do everything I can to make their learning experiences interesting and valuable.
