The students at my school are thirsty for knowledge! They are bright, funny, and articulate kids. My school is in an ever changing neighborhood in North Portland, Oregon. There is a diverse population of students across many backgrounds. There are a number of students who speak more than one language at home. The population is very socioeconomically diverse as well. The neighborhood is full of supportive and engaged families that put the best interest of the children first.
