The band program forms a vital and important part of the total school life. Our organization represents a large, colorful, visible, and highly disciplined segment of school groups. School life and many of the programs of the school would seem dull without the presence of our band. The performances of our band adds a great deal of color and life to not only our school, but our community as well. For many students, it is this addition that motivates them to come to school, work to study and remain academically eligible. Band serves musicians and non musicians alike. When the school atmosphere and academic environment is positive, success is guaranteed! The drum line is the pulse of the band and one of the visual elements that everyone enjoys experiencing. Their marching carriers have been in poor condition for quite a while now, they have even made makeshift repairs from other broken carriers. Despite these setbacks, they continue to win caption awards at various marching competitions and play a crucial role to the success of the overall program. The drum line performs not only with the band as a whole, but performs on and off campus as an individual unit. Having new carriers would mean the world to these hard working students and allow them to focus and take their performance skills to the next level.
