The school and public libraries are often the only chance they have to find books, let alone interesting ones. We are struggling to increase our MCAS scores. The kids have so much drive and a deep willingness to learn, but so little resources and support beyond school doors. They flock to the city library after school to get a few more hours of library time in before they need to go home. Students with that much dedication deserve the very best that teachers and librarians can provide.
