My students are the heart and soul of my program. I teach grades 9-12. I also get to work with the preschoolers on our campus. My students are all future educators. They want to shape the future. This past year has been a great success for the students: they created lessons, taught, learned about education, wrote children's books—oh, and won the Educators Rising Nationals competition! We have three national champs, multiple runner-ups, and the top 10 in the entire nation. DHS Educators Rising (all freshmen and sophomores) beat colleges, seniors, largest schools in the nation, and became the national champions. This program is the number one Education Professions program in the entire nation. I am so lucky to be their teacher and to be able to shape the minds of future educators. They truly are the best part of education. I am so proud to be part of their lives.
