My students will use the Osmo Pizza Co. and bases to learn about financial literacy in an engaging and motivating way. Osmo Pizza focuses on counting money in a fun way and helps second graders gain a necessary life skill. They need to be able to count money by the time they leave second grade. The game has students make pizzas for customers. After making the pizza, they have to make change for customers. This can be challenging for some students to do. However, it is something they need to gain financial literacy. Students will be faced with running a virtual pizza business. Let's make this fun pizza business a reality! The majority of my second graders have had little to no experience in handling money or purchasing items with their own money. I know that Osmo Pizza Co. and bases will make a great difference my students' lives.
