Albany Options School is the alternative public high school serving the vulnerable youth population. Over 80% of our students qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch, over 60% of our students are considered homeless, and for many this is the only safe place in their life and their only source of food and warmth. Our students come to us for many reasons, but for every student there has been some kind of disconnect with education and we strive to provide students with engaging and hands-on learning opportunities. Our classes are very small to guarantee that the teacher can serve every single student to make sure that they are receiving the best education they can get.
