My student’s desperately need updated cooking tools! A cornerstone of our life skills curriculum is cooking. Currently most of our tools are broken or worn hand me downs or left overs from the home ec class that stopped years ago. It is vital for health, safety and their building independence that we have the proper, dependable materials. These tools will be used to meet the students need for direct, cooking instruction. My students are so much more engaged when they get to learn hands on. The cooking lessons we do provide them with a way to learn cooking skills as well as social skills, problem solving, safety skills and teamwork
