First graders are proud of who they are. I am fortunate to be part of that journey and strive to be a positive influence in the development of a young child. I want them to experience challenges, understand the value of effort and the rewards of success. The biggest task to accomplish in first grade is to meet students at their level and motivate them to learn. First graders start to become aware of success and failure. Thus they are very emotional. They need the guidance of a teacher to be productive and achieve their potential. Students need to experience how to be active learners and persevere from a young age.

About my class
