I am a Special Education Teacher in fifth grade intergrated (Special Education and General Education) class in a high needs school in New York. The purpose of an intergrated class is to allow students with learning delays to work along side students without delays. I enjoy working with such a diverse population. Teaching is a "vocation" from the heart. Watching the "light" go on in a child's eyes when he/she finally understsand what you are teaching is priceless. This the most fulfilling part of the job and the motivation to continue being one of many who help children turn of the "light."
