The school in which I teach has a very low English speaking population. The majority of my school is Hispanic, which means that when they come to me in Kindergarten, they have had little to no exposure to the English language. It is the second language to more than half of my students. The school in which I teach has a very high poverty population as well. Numerous children receive food from the food banks each weekend to help their families get through the week. My students are my world, and any teacher feels the same, they claim them as their own. I would buy anything for my students. I love my job more than anything and couldn't imagine spending my life doing anything else.
