Students will use the 3D printer and 3Doodler pen to create what they envision events, places, and people from the past to be after careful research of the topics being presented. This will allow students to combine the research aspect with their creativity and create a meaningful project. We will begin by having a class tutorial with the tools so that all students are familiar with proper usage and safety procedures. Small group projects will be assigned first to allow students to become more at ease with the tools with the help of peers. Finally, we will transition to individual projects with students having assigned times to use the tools. I believe these tools would be a great addition to our project-based classroom and would allow my students to become even more hands-on!
