My students are amazing humans with a lot of potential to do well in school as well as their community and the world. They are a diverse group of which half are learning Spanish as their third language. They take academically rigorous courses of which my Spanish 4 (pre-AP), Spanish 5 AP, and Spanish 6 are included. With the stress of such an intense course load, finding time during the school day to relax is vital, which is why I have implemented yoga practice as part of my curriculum. My students are very successful in their journey of life and deserve time to relax their minds and bodies through yoga practice. Giving them the gift of yoga serves them well now and will serve them well in the future. The best part is that they are practicing yoga en espaol! My best outcome is that the time at school is then even more engaging, dynamic, and enriching.
