We live about an hour from instrument repair shops so having a repair kit will allow me to keep my student's instruments working for them. It may be a temporary fix but it will still allow them to play until we can get the instrument to the shop. Providing reeds will ensure that all students will be able to play every day. They are essential for my students to be able to participate in class every day but consumable items can get expensive for parents to continue to provide all year. Since we are a Title I school, all of these items will ensure that being part of the band program is not a financial burden on my student's families.
