Becoming a skilled writer is essential. The addition of Chromebooks in my fourth grade classroom will immensely enhance how I am successfully able to teach the writing process to thirty-five eager scholars. This technology will not only allow for students to hone their computer and typing skills, but also allow for an increase in independent task completion during our daily writing block, which can be a challenge for students who are currently performing significantly below grade-level. It is no secret that technology increases student engagement and achievement. These Chromebooks will help my students when creating various writing samples from the early drafting stages, to the daunting editing stages, and finally the accomplished publishing stages. Please support my fourth grade scholars and help them receive the technology that they deserve.
