I teach Reading Intervention to kids who are two or more grade levels behind in Reading. I am also a special education teacher where I push into ELA and Math inside the general education classroom. My students would benefit tremendously from being able to utilize technology by using tablets. When I push in my special education kids could benefit from the tablets by being able to use them to write, to use the dictionary, and to use a calculator. A lot of them have issues with their writing being legible so theywould help with that as well and they can use it for a spellchecker. I could use the tablets to allow my sped students to access learning ally for text to speech books for those who are two or more grade levels behind in reading and have a difficult time reading grade level text.
