One of the biggest obstacles that I find my students have to overcome is the lack of technology in our school to help them apply to colleges. Many of my students try to apply on their cell phone where they make mistakes that will cost them acceptance to the colleges. We don't have enough computers in our school for me to have computers in my office available for the students. Having the 5 Dell Laptops available in my office, will be a huge help to me and my students. I will be able to help my students in small groups (instead of 1 student at a time) whether they are searching careers, applying to colleges, applying for financial aid and scholarships, or writing college essays. The HP wireless printer (a very reliable printer) will allow the students to send their work to be printed so that we will be able to fax the information on to the appropriate colleges, or people involved. These donations will have a tremendous impact on my ability to help my students reach their dreams of attending college.
