A classroom that is bright and welcoming is one where student's can be motivated to do anything. The materials I've selected help accomplish both motivating my student's, but also provide a new teacher with some basic necessities to create a positive learning environment. The carpets and comfy pillows give my student's a place to build reading stamina while being comfortable. The bulletin board borders brighten the learning space and help draw attention to important information throughout the year. The crates and clear storage bins organize student supplies. The three pocket charts will function as a mailbox. Students use their clipboards for many subjects. Magna Tiles are for a Maker's Space and the command hooks will function as coat racks. The donations for this project will help a new teacher create a classroom environment that offers flexible seating, organization, and productivity. Research shows that the classroom environment is a critical component in student learning and motivation. These supplies will help a new teacher create a positive learning environment.
