Coming down from teaching upper grade to primary grade, I need help in funding books and other supplies needed to support my first graders. My first graders need books that are at their reading level and new materials that will facilitate their learning. I am coming into first grade with only a handful of books and tools appropriate for the primary level. After visiting a few of 1st grade classes in our school, I noticed that books for students to read independent are limited. I would like my students to be able to read at their leisure when possible. Going from upper grade to primary makes me feel like a brand new teacher again, thus needing new supplies to get my foot into the door for the upcoming school year.
