Our class is requesting a desktop computer, monitor, wireless keyboard, printer, and ink in order to help meet all the new Common Core State Standards. This new technology will allow my students to access and use a wide variety of learning materials. Students would be able to create interactive projects to display on the whiteboard, base on the content area in which we are studying. Additionally, we will be able to create and print a book of writings from their year in first grade. This projects is important to us because it will allow my student and future students to learn in new ways and reach new goals. It will also allow me to improve my teaching style to ensure that I am able to meet the needs of all students. Many of the new Common Core Standards require the students to complete research, compose writing, and finally publish their work. Students will also be able to play educational games that will aid in the understanding of the complex concepts that the New Common Core Standards bring. Providing this new technology for my students will open up endless learning opportunities. They will be able to accomplish so many new and exciting things, making them even more college and career ready.
