I am the luckiest teacher in the world to be able to work with incredible and talented students. While I don’t have children of my own, I feel so blessed to be able to provide guidance and mentorship to a wide variety of students. Seeing a young actor break out of their shell and perform a scene, monologue or play when they could barely introduce themselves at the beginning of the year is an incredible experience. My students have won countless regional, state, and national awards for their touching, funny, poignant and moving performances. Coming from a rich and diverse school they are set a part due to their diversity and our theater society is as strong as any I have seen. They call themselves a family because that is who they are an organization that is devoted in bringing out the best in themselves and others. The theater society and family is more than just a class, it is home.
