Our high school string students all started studying in the elementary and continued their studies all the way up to high school. They are very talented and musical individuals. They have participated in NYSSMA Solo Festival, NYSSMA Majors, All-County and the Long Island String Festival. This year we are trying to outfit our violins & violas with shoulder rests for better play position and confidence while shifting. In past some of the judges have commented & taken points off. We have some shoulder rests but not enough for all of the students. Just like any "TEAM" we need to have the proper equipment to be successful. These shoulder rests would help ensure that ALL the violins & violas have the proper support to be successful. Most students are hoping to pursue a scholarship on their instrument to help with college. Your donation will help them on this path. Please help SUPPORT our strings!
