My students are kindergarten bilingual learners that are facing the challenges of learning how to read and learning a new language. Our school is a title one school; most of our students come from low income families and qualify for free/reduced lunch. But if you met them, all you would be able to see is their potential and their desire to learn and succeed. They are so inspiring, always seeing the good and striving to be better. In our school we strive to teach our children to the best of our abilities, which is why our school is an exemplary school. Our children inspire us to do our best every day, to face every single challenge with perseverance and a smile, because we know that the cause is worth it. That's what our children are, an inspiration. My students are tiny but their dreams and desires are as big as the wonderful state of Texas:) I want them to start their school career with a love for books and for reading - books that will continue to inspire and motivate them.
