The love of learning is lost in our culture and more and more children are coming to America. We need to unleash the spark of reading, along with math and science in our children's hearts. One way to do this is to provide a wealth of hands-on materials for our students. My current role is Literacy Coach for Kindergarten-Grade 8. We are a Title 1 school in desperate need of supplies and support. Many of the children here are new this year and some are from Spanish-speaking homes. We have a high rate of poverty in our school and we are on an academic improvement plan...but with less money and supplies! We have many special needs students and kids who just need a chance to succeed. Thank you for assisting in our needs.
