My students are an amazing group of leaders. They belong to an organization called MAAP STARS, which is the MN Assoc. of Alternative Programs student organization. This organization helps promote the positive impact that alternative schools have on so many students that have fallen through the cracks of the educational system. These leaders are trying to promote their school as a positive, safe, and educational place to go to school. They want nothing more than to be given a fair chance at an education. As one student said "alternative schools are a place for a second chance at an education, when students only thought they had one chance."

About my class
