This year, I am stepping into an exciting new role with a big mission: teaching science and social studies to three sections across fifth and sixth grades while also leading my sixth-grade homeroom. My goal is to create an engaging classroom where students investigate scientific questions, explore history and geography, collaborate with classmates, and connect their learning to the world around them. However, providing meaningful experiences across two grade levels and two subjects requires science materials, notebooks, maps, books, project supplies, technology resources, and dependable classroom organization. Funding will help ensure that every student has access to the materials needed for hands-on learning, regardless of their grade level or class section.
