The Woodlawn Colonels football team is more than a football team, they are a brotherhood. These young men work hard on the field and in the classroom, showing discipline, determination, and pride in everything they do. Several are Honor Society students, and out of 9 seniors, 7 earned scholarships, including opportunities to the SEC, military service, and career technical education programs. What truly makes this team special is the bond they share. After tragically losing a teammate before the season began, they carried his picture with them throughout the year, honoring his memory as part of their team family. These young men represent perseverance, accountability, brotherhood, and hope. They are a reflection of what can happen when students are challenged, supported, and encouraged to become leaders both on and off the field.
