We would like to offer a Winter Outdoor Adventure unit in physical education class. We would like to offer, snowshoeing, sledding and cross country skiing.... Almost half of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch and have never experienced outdoor activities like snow shoeing and skiing - we would love to provide this opportunity in PE class. Our school has many acres of land surrounding it - Land that is unused in the winter ~ we attempted to do a sledding unit last winter, but with limited sleds, we knew we had find a way to purchase more. We would love to have a classroom set of 40 sleds, 40 snow shoes and 40 cross country ski's.
