Our elementary school was established in 1877. It was the first government public school on the Garden Island, Kaua'i, and is on the site of the state's first commercial sugar plantation. We are a Title I school with a 250 student population. I am a first year teacher and my kinders are in need of little books to take home to read with their parents/families. Many of my students do not have the resources to these age appropriate learning books. My desire is to build success by providing literacy not only in the classroom but also in their homes. Mahalo
