My students are an incredible and diverse group of learners with a wide range of strengths, abilities, and support needs. I work with students who have autism, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, dyslexia, sensory processing difficulties, rare genetic conditions, and other developmental disabilities. Some students are independent, while others need significant support throughout their day. Some communicate through speech, while others use AAC devices. Some walk independently, while others use wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility supports. Despite their differences, they all deserve opportunities to participate, learn, communicate, play, and experience success. I am continually amazed by their creativity, determination, humor, and resilience. My goal is to meet each student where they are, celebrate their progress, and provide the tools they need to discover how much they are capable of accomplishing.
