My students consist of a self-contained inner-city classroom of African-American students whose disabilities range from Intellectual Disabilities to Autism. All my students come from low-income communities. They do not have the resources, that student with disabilities from higher SES Homes have in their private day programs. It is my goal, as well as our school district's goal to provide our students with the same resources, and developmental opportunities as students in private day programs, to prepare them to live a life as independent as possible. Students with disabilities CAN learn. Given the needed resources and support to prepare them for life outside of high school, students with disabilities will be given the opportunity to become independent and productive members of society. Your generous donation can help make this dream a reality. Please contribute to our project today. Thank you very much in advance.
