Our district has started a curriculum based around chapter books to promote comprehension and fluency. Unfortunately, we do not have enough copies of each title to go around. If every child had a copy they would be able to take their books home at night. We are hoping to give them the tools they need to become fluent readers. When our class finishes an entire chapter book, the children feel a sense of accomplishment and a boost in literacy confidence. We are hoping to allow every child access to a copy of the current title we are reading.
