Sixth grade is a crucial year for students. Most of our students have to transition from Spanish to English within one year in their ELA classrooms. I want to be able to foster the love for reading and critical thinking before they fall through the cracks. Students will be able to listen to the novel, and visualize what they are reading and their imagination will soar. They will not only learn the English Language, but they will also have the opportunity to gain confidence in speaking the language in the classroom. The novels that I will be able to acquire form this project will allow my students to be exposed to different genres. The bins will allow them to organize the books in the classroom library.
