My students are a wonderful group of 4th and 5th-grade learners in a self-contained special education classroom. Each student is unique and learns in different ways, bringing their own strengths, interests, and challenges to the classroom. They are creative, curious, and full of potential. My students learn best through hands-on activities, visuals, repetition, movement, and step-by-step instruction. They benefit from structured, supportive lessons that are broken down into manageable parts and reinforced with encouragement and practice in multiple ways. While academics can be challenging, they continue to show effort and growth when given the right supports. What stands out most about my students is their resilience. Even when learning is difficult, they keep trying, asking questions, and celebrating their progress. With the right tools and resources, they are capable of incredible growth and success.
