My students are growing up in west Baltimore city neighborhoods. As I watch each student show up to school and wait out front for breakfast, I ponder how I can make their days full of limitless opportunity. What can I bring to my class for the students to run and thrive with? What can I say that will stay with them as they exit the building at the end of the school day? My expertise: voice (main instrument), piano, recorder, percussion, recorder, guitar, arranging, composition, chorus+ My philosophy: I believe every public school student should receive a well-rounded music education by a well-supported music educator. Academic focus: singing, chanting, reciting, movement, dance, play, listening, creating, absorbing, internalizing, and truly experiencing music from all different genres, cultures, and function. I believe, with your support, I can bring students a positive and well-rounded music education.
