These resources will promote NVACS and fulfill a COVID-related learning need in my classes by providing students the means to use digital tools to create graphic designs as with standards 6-8.CC.B.1 and 6-8.CC.C.1. Their ability to explore their creativity and create unique designs from their own imaginations will enable powerful lessons and learning opportunities. Using these large and powerful drawing tablets, students will have the opportunity to use tools that may not be available to them otherwise considering their cost and specificity. It is also a great way to introduce them to digital art and the technology behind it. The best way for students to learn is through hands-on experience, and providing that chance in middle school will help them understand all sorts of technology beyond just the drawing tablets. Once a student understands layers, blending, and other art tools on one platform, those skills transfer easily to other platforms in the future in high school and college.
