My students are African American males with great personalities and humble spirits. They strive to work hard on the field and in the classroom. They fell in love with the game of baseball, and they are hungry for success. As a result, they maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 to participate in the sport they love! Baseball has motivated them to be better student athletes causing many of the players to exceed well over the minimum GPA requirement. Our school receives Title I Funding, and has a 95% free/reduced rate. The student population is 1,900+ and the student teacher ratio is 35:1. We promote a learning environment that is conducive for all learners in which a spirit of pride and unity exists.
