The LEGO Boost Creative Toolbox will help as a launching point for disadvantaged children to begin learning about coding. The New York City Department of Education has a pilot program called CS4ALL (Computer Science for All). The target group for this program is to help children of color, and especially girls of color, become prepared for the opportunities that computer science will have for them as they enter the workforce after their schooling has completed. But before that day comes, we must lay that foundation of technology and coding at the earliest of ages, so that these children will be prepared, and more importantly qualified, to compete for the jobs of tomorrow. These tools, will help spark their interest in the field of tomorrow. These materials will motivate them to continue learning about computer science throughout the years of their schooling. From them, I thank you for your consideration and thoughtfulness.
