Many of my students think outside the box, and some seem determined to redesign the box altogether! As a fourth-grade GATE teacher at a Title I school, I have the privilege of teaching gifted and talented students who love solving puzzles, exploring new ideas, and tackling challenges that don't always have one right answer. What makes my classroom special is that we celebrate curiosity, creativity, and the courage to take intellectual risks. My students thrive when learning is hands-on, collaborative, and connected to real-world problems. At my school, financial limitations can restrict access to innovative learning experiences, but they certainly don't limit our students' potential. These young thinkers have the imagination and determination to do extraordinary things. They just need the opportunity to get started!
