Having these board games will make learning and practicing social skills fun and interactive. Our first grade class has a buddy class that we meet with once a week. Our buddy class is a small class of 5th and 6th grade student with autism. During this time we work on social skills, peer interactions and conflict resolutions. So many of us had fun playing these games as a child and I know they will too! Our team of teachers have found that board games are a fun way to help students work on conflicts like taking turns, sharing and learning good sportsmanship. These are life long skills that will carry them though school and life. When playing these games, children do not even realize that they are learning!
