This wellness room will be a safe and calming place for students to access whenever needed to de-escalate or just to seek relief from an upset situation. Students learn strategies to manage their emotions, verbalize their feelings, and access social-emotional tools to help stabilize them in order to continue with their day in school. Students in our community are in dire need of mental health resources. Many of our students do not have access to these types of support at home or outside of school. This will serve students from PreK through 6 grades in the hopes of preparing them with social-emotional tools and resiliency for middle school and beyond.
