My students have been through some tough times but they are little fighters. They have endured many different situations even I as an adult have not been a part of. It is important that when they are at school they have a "homey" feeling. I want my kids to feel comfortable even if it's in a classroom setting. It is important for them to get on the floor and be kids while at the same time feeling safe and comfortable.
