My goal is to make classroom activities as hands-on as possible. My wish is to have students complete projects that are relevant to the content of our class- Ancient Civilizations. For example, writing on clay tablets to learn about early writing in Mesopotamia and learn about mummification in ancient Egypt by using and creating things like canopic jars. Yoga mats can be utilized as students learn about the origin of yoga in our unit of ancient India. One of the biggest motivators for my students is snacks, so things like Jolly Ranchers and fruit snacks prove to be a beneficial part of the classroom.
