I am the Media Specialist, a fancy word for Librarian, at Frye Elementary School in Chandler AZ. I teach all classrooms at every grade level, Pre-K - 6th grade, a lesson each week. Our students are for the most part from low income, hardworking families, many are not native English speakers, and we have a good number of students with special needs. That said, they are a sweet, curious crowd. They love listening to stories, and are always very interested in the themes I focus on monthly in the Media Center. I believe every child finds wonder and inspiration in words and art. I try to do my best everyday to provide opportunities to experience this wonder for all my students.
