Character education and communication skills lead to academic and life long achievement. My project is aimed to encourage conversations and teamwork between students in my classroom while engaging in STEAM activities. The interactions students have with each other to be creative thinkers, "construction workers", and problem solvers will further develop their conversational skills, character, and social emotional learning. I chose resources that my students will be able to choose from during our Friday Free-choice time when students are building friendships with classmates while engaging in educational activities to support their learning. The variety activities allow for collaboration, listening to others, working out conflicts, perseverance, community building, and are all STEAM based resources.
