My students attend a special day class for severe developmental delays, located on a public school campus. They need lots of repetition, visual, audial and tactile stimuli to learn. I look forward to going to work just to see their eager faces when they get off the bus in the morning. My staff and I push our students to their fullest potential through lessons that develop academic skills as well as self help, behavioral and motor skills. We are beginning to incorporate an understanding of interconnectedness between ourselves and the planet. Through connections to animal and plant life and society at large, we are working to instill a sense of social justice and love for all living things.

About my class
